Summer Essentials

Hi all,

Since we’re about a month into summer, I wanted to share a couple of my favourite skincare, hair, and beauty products that I can’t live without! These are all products I’ve used for the past month or more and would 100% recommend, especially in this dreaded heat and humidity. So without further adieu, I will jump right in!

Skincare

Riversol – Broad Spectrum Sunscreen

This sunscreen is Reef Safe, which is the only sunscreen allowed in certain places such as Hawaii. There are no harmful toxins in it and I use it every day on my skin before I put my makeup on. It’s tinted (slightly) so that it doesn’t give your face a ghostly look. Save 15% off your purchase with my code ‘MORGAN15’.

Fresh – Soy Face Cleanser

This has been my go-to cleanser for ages, but I love how light and fresh (no pun intended) it is, especially during warmer weather!

Fresh – Sugar Strawberry Exfoliating Face Wash

This is a new product from Fresh as of earlier this season. I loved their sugar mask but I was just too lazy to keep it on my face before rinsing. This was a great alternative especially if you’re always on the go. It’s a gentle exfoliator and allows for easy application!

Earth Realm Co – Sarau Toner

This toner has been a favourite of mine for quite some time. It has witch hazel, tea tree oil, and lavender floral water, which all work to help to reduce acne and cleanse the skin of dirt and oil. Use my code ‘MORGAN20’ for 20% off your purchase.

Youth to the People – Superfood Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizer yttp.jpg

This moisturizer is a lightweight, natural product. It is perfect for hydrating your skin without overdoing it, so it won’t get greasy as the day goes on.

Saturday Skin – Wide Awake Brightening Eye Cream satrday .jpeg

I’ve been using this eye cream for months now. What I love about it is the cooling sensation as well as the pump top, so you can easily dispense the right amount of product each time. It’s also very lightweight and absorbs into the skin quickly.

Kora Organics – Noni Glow Face Oil

I bought the smaller version of this to try because Sephora was sold out of the larger one at the time. I put it on at night on a cleansed face and let it work its magic. It leaves my skin looking radiant and minimizes dark spots. It’s definitely an investment, but I think it’s one worth making!

Summer Fridays – Jet Lag Mask

I use this for all my skincare needs. It works wonderfully during the summer to de-puff under eyes or cool down and hydrate your skin, especially if you pop it in the fridge and use it while it’s nice and cold!

Fresh – Vitamin Nectar Antioxidant Face Mist

I have been absolutely loving face mists this summer to refresh your skin and re-energize you throughout the day. This one smells heavenly and is equipped with an even, super-fine mist. It’s a must have.

Evio Skin – Refreshing Wipes

These wipes are amazing! Not only is Evio cruelty-free, vegan, and natural, these wipes take off more of my makeup than any other I’ve tried while leaving your skin super hydrated! They’re also infused with Cannabis Sativa Seed Oil. wipes.gif

Vita Liberata – Body Blur

I absolutely fell in love with this after the first time I tried it. It’s an instant self-tanner that acts to blur imperfections as well as add a shimmer to your skin. It’s seriously stunning. The only issue I have with it is that it rubs off on your clothing easily – but washes off just as easily.

Bali Body – Shimmering Body Oil

Similar to above, this shimmering oil adds an amazing golden glow to your skin. It can be used at the beach with SPF to enhance your tan, and will wash off at the end of the day.

Hair Care

OUAI – Leave-in Conditioner

This is the only leave-in conditioner I’ve used for the past couple years and I am obsessed. Actually, I’m obsessed with all OUAI products, as you’ll see below. This is perfect when you’re in and out of the water, or looking to detangle and add moisture to your hair. I spritz it in before going in the water, after showers, and basically just all the time.

OUAI – Texturizing Hair Spray

Again, OUAI saves the day. This hair spray is lightweight, adds lots of natural volume to my hair, and doesn’t leave it feeling sticky or stiff. Sometimes I spray it in my hair when I need just a little bit of a lift.

OUAI – Wave Spraywave .jpeg

If you’re looking for a way to achieve those natural, beachy waves, this is it. Spritz this in your hair after you towel-dry it, scrunch with your hands, and voila. Waves for days.

Drybar – Detox Dry Shampoo

My absolute favourite dry hair shampoo out there. I take it with me everywhere I go and it has never let me down.

Beauty

Natasha Denona – Tan Bronze & Glow Palette

Literally can’t rave about this enough. It is total heaven in a palette. The bronzer gives such a warm, healthy glow to your skin, while the highlighters are so natural on the skin. The cream highlighter is a subtle glow, which can act as the base to the rest of the highlighters or be worn alone. The super glow is a lovely, golden-bronze highlight, and the glow impact powder contains crushed pearls to create an almost glass-like look. Might have to buy another, that’s how much I love it.

First Aid Beauty – Triple Protection Skin Tint with Goji Berry

This skin tint is a great way to even out your skin without too much product. Lightweight, free of common allergens, and noncomedogenic, this skin tint protects your skin from harsh elements and pollution while leaving it dewy and radiant.

Dior – Backstage Face & Body Foundation

This foundation has been in my beauty routine for years now. I love the smell, the consistency, and the coverage of this product. It leaves such a dewy, natural finish but still covers my imperfections. Perfect for summer nights or special events.

NARS – Radiant Creamy Concealer

I finally gave this concealer a try after hearing so much about it. I’d say it’s light – medium coverage, but perfect for the under-eye area. I haven’t experienced any creasing or smudging and I wear the shade custard.

ITCosmetics – CC+ Airbrush Perfecting Powderit cos.jpg

Basically a staple to have in your beauty routine for days you wish to wear less makeup. I wear the shade tan.

NUDESTIX – Nudies All Over Face Colour Bronze + Glow

Where do I start! I am in love with all NUDESTIX products, especially during the summer when I want to cut my ‘getting-ready’ time in half. These highlight sticks are super natural and creamy and blend like a dream. I have the shade ‘Hey, Honey’ and feel like this is suitable for those with tan skin.

NUDESTIX – Nudies Tinted Blur Stick

I use these blur sticks to hide imperfections and also to contour. So blendable, creamy, and pigmented. Can’t go wrong!

NUDESTIX – Nude Metallics for Eyes

Last but not least from this brand is the metallic eye sticks kit. It comes with three shades that really compliment each other and can be used a variety of ways. I love swiping these on my eyes quick before heading out. Super simple and the colours are stunning.

Evio Beauty – Hydrating Lip Glosses

These lip glosses from Evio Beauty are my all time fav. They glide on so nicely, have such wonderful pigmentation, and they are NOT STICKY. I can’t even stress this enough. I can’t stand sticky lip glosses, so these are a godsend. I have the shades Lise and Brooke, but there are 5 to choose from. lip .gif

That is all for my summer favourites! I hope you enjoyed them and find some of this info helpful. If you have any questions feel free to leave a comment below and don’t forget to subscribe so you never miss a post!
