We’re all washing our hands and sanitizing like crazy, which has caused mine to peel, crack, and itch. I have tried everything to restore hydration, yet they end up back in this state after the next wash. I was recently introduced to S’AÏMME Cosmetics, a skincare brand from Quebec, and their MM Gel instant repair hand cream. After just one use I could tell this product was different than other hand creams. The texture is more of a gel than a cream, lightweight and instantly hydrating. You can feel it soak into your skin within seconds and it takes just the tiniest bit to cover your hands. There is also a lovely, fresh scent of peppermint. The key ingredient to the MM Gel is Canadian grown Hemp Oil, which helps lock in moisture and reduce irritation caused from dryness. The most interesting thing about MM Gel is that one application will continue to hydrate your skin for up to 72 hours.
MM Gel is free of all the below ingredients, so you can feel good about using it!
- Mineral Oils
- Petrochemical Derivatives
ABOUT S’AÏMME & SUSTAINABILITY
I have been trying my best to be more conscious about the brands I support and their connection to sustainability. S’AÏMME Cosmetics is a Canadian brand that goes above and beyond when it comes to being eco-friendly. They source all their ingredients right here in Canada, which can be extremely difficult given our long Winters, and they make short-distance supply routes a priority. For anyone who isn’t sure what that means: S’AÏMME chooses suppliers closest in proximity to them so that the overall carbon footprint that comes from the transportation of supplies can be reduced. To add to this, S’AÏMME works with TreeCanada, a non-profit organization, to plant trees and further offset their impact on the environment.
All of S’AÏMME’s packaging is made from recycled materials, can be recycled, and they include a seed paper info slip with each order. This paper can be planted, watered, and will grow flowers and fine herbs! This is something I find so fun, because it benefits you as the customer as well as our planet. Their products are also cruelty-free, vegan, and water-saving.
I’ve seen the word “sustainable” used a lot by brands who exhibit one of the above eco-friendly behaviours, however what S’AÏMME is doing really encompasses the term. There is one more product I haven’t spoken about yet as I have not had the chance to try it, but S’AÏMME also carries a facial mask called MM Pure. It is a 3 in 1 mask that removes makeup and impurities while cleansing and hydrating. One more thing I adore about S’AÏMME is that they aren’t your typical, woodsy, neutral, sustainable brand. They really try to showcase that sustainability can be fun, colourful, and exciting. I am interested to see where they go from here and what they create next.
I hope that you found this insightful and that if you experience similar discomfort from dry hands, that you check the MM Gel out here! They were also lovely enough to provide me a discount code for anyone who wishes to try their products: MORGAN35OFF.
